THE TEAMAnika Mueller-Hickler
Procurement & Logistics Coordinator
Anika joined Powell Fine Art Advisory after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Vassar College where she completed a senior thesis titled ‘A Modern Way of Looking: Impressionism, Observation, and Privacy on the Nineteenth-Century Parisian Balcony.’ Her research culminated in a thematic approach to Second Empire balconies within French Impressionist paintings, concluding that the balcony transformed the binaries of urban life by increasing visibility among the Parisian middle class.
While at Vassar, Anika worked at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center as a Collections Management Assistant. Working closely with the Assistant Registrar for Collections, she participated in artwork condition reporting and inventory documentation, and ensured accurate records were maintained in their database.
Originally from Texas, Anika is excited to be in Boston and to learn more about contemporary art on the East Coast and beyond.
